CPD

Introduction

We will be continuing to run our popular FREE evening meetings in 2012. As usual, we intend to bring you updates on topics chosen from the fields of anaesthesia, physiotheraphy, orthopaedics, soft tissue surgery, dermatology, cardiology, internal medicine and diagnostic imaging.

Film nights

These informal CPD sessions will run on the first Thursday of every month from 7.30-9.00pm at our hospital in Ringwood. They will involve a film reading session and open discussion based on some cases seen at SCVS. Vets are also encouraged to bring their own radiographs of interesting or challenging cases for group discussion. These meetings are run by our diagnostic imager, Manuel Pinilla. Although the meetings are FREE numbers are limited to allow delegate participation. Please book in advance by contacting the practice. Places will be reserved on a first-come, first-served basis. Light refreshments will be provided.
 
The film nights will restart in Spring 2012 - please watch this space!
 
Evening meetings
 
Evening events start at 19:30 with a FREE buffet supper, followed by the talk at 20:00. We usually finish about 22:00. Please feel free to bring x-rays, case reports, etc. that you want to discuss with the specialist speaking. To assist with catering, please use the faxback form we send out before the meeting, or email or phone us to let you know you are coming. If you are not on the mailing list, please email or phone to be added. We now have new interactive software so that, with the help of your own keypad, you can become more involved in the presentation. These are used at most of our talks.
