Our receptionists and admin team play a vital role in the smooth running of the practice. This allows our vets and nurses to get on with what they do best – looking after their patients. If you have any problems, call any of our team, and we will always do our best to help you.
Chris qualified from Cambridge in 1985, and after five years of mixed practice, became a Partner in Cedar Veterinary Group at Ringwood. By 1999, he was spending most of his time managing the practice. In 2008, he was one of the founding Partners of Southern Counties Veterinary Specialists, when the Practice evolved out of the Cedar Veterinary Group's referral work. Having sold Cedar in 2010, he now spends all of his time at SCVS, and is partner in charge of administration and liaison with referring practices.
Sue spent the first 7 years of her nursing career in a general small animal practice in Edgbaston. There she gained her Veterinary Nurse qualification and went on to gain the D32/33 certificate in nurse training assessment. In August 2000 she moved to Willows Referral Centre in Solihull where she gained her Surgical Nursing Diploma. In May 2006, she moved to Ringwood to join Cedar Orthopaedic Referrals where she became Head Orthopaedic Nurse. When Cedar Referrals moved to new premises and became SCVS in 2008, Sue was appointed Head Nurse, and played a large role in setting up the new Practice. In August 2009 she was promoted to Practice Manager whilst continuing her role as Head Nurse.
Our team admin work very hard behind the scenes to ensure that your visit to us runs as smoothly as possible. Their work includes arranging appointments with clients, liasing with referring vets about paperwork, all aspects of insurance claims and a host of other jobs which help to keep the practice running smoothly.
