Katia Marioni-Henry DVM, PhD, DipACVIM(Neurology), DipECVN, MRCVS - American and European Specialist in Veterinary Neurology

Katia received her degree in veterinary medicine from the University of Parma in 1995. She subsequently completed a PhD in neurology and electrophysiology in Turin followed by a residency in neurology at the University of Pennsylvania.

Katia is an American and European boarded diplomate in neurology and has held several academic posts in the USA including clinical instructor at the University of Missouri and Assistant Professor of Neurology and Neurosurgery at the University of Tennessee. Katia has authored numerous papers on clinical neurology and is a nationally and internationally recognised specialist in her field.

She is actively involved in continuing professional development, having taught at all levels during her time in the USA. She is a neurology consultant for VIN (Veterinary Information Network), an American-based electronic resource for veterinarians, and was also involved in the production of the DVD “Neurological Examination of the Dog” marketed by Improve International Ltd.

Sergio Rodenas DVM, MRCVS

Sergio qualified from the University of Extremadura in Spain in 1996. After spending nine years working in emergency and critical care in both Spain and France he took up a residency in neurology and neurosurgery at the University of Barcelona. Since completing his residency in October 2008, Sergio has been working as a neurologist at the University of Barcelona. He will be sitting examinations for the European Diploma in Neurology in September 2009.
