Emma Lewis

Emma graduated from Cranfield University in 2002 with a 2:1 honours degree in Diagnostic Radiography.  She started working at the University Hospitals Southampton Trust gaining experience in plain film, trauma, fluoroscopy, angiography, theatre and dental imaging.

She specialised in paediatrics for 4 years before pursuing her interest in cross sectional imaging and began training in CT, MRI and neuro angiography in 2007.  In 2015 Emma completed her PGCert in Magnetic Resonance Imaging at Anglia Ruskin University and went on to complete further post graduate qualifications in Leadership and management.

Emma has a lifelong love of animals and always had career ambitions to become a veterinary radiographer, in December 2019 she joined SCVS.  She has been able to fully implement and utilise the skills from her previous roles, enjoys the new challenges of working with animals and adapting scanning techniques to optimise the diagnostic images obtained.
