Alessandra Destri

Ale graduated in Pisa in 2010 with first class honours. After graduation she worked in general practice in Italy before completing a rotating internship at the University of Barcelona in 2013. During her Internship she developed a special interest in Diagnostic Imaging and moved for a short period to Utrecht University, in the Netherlands where she completed a research project in canine Odontogenic cysts.

Ale moved to the UK in 2015 and after a dedicated internship in Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging, started her ECVDI Residency at the Animal Health Trust in Newmarket 2016.

In 2020 Ale Joined us here at SCVS and passed the final exam of the European College of Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging in May 2022.

Ale enjoys all aspects of Veterinary Radiology and in particular abdominal ultrasound and CT angiography of vascular diseases and now developing a special passion for MRI.
