EBVS® and RCVS Recognised Specialist in Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging

Petra graduated in 1997 from the Vet School in Hanover, Germany. After spending several years in general practice, she completed a residency at the University of Cambridge, gaining the European Diploma in Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging in 2009. Since then, she has been working in a large private multidisciplinary referral centre where she has been leading the imaging team for many years, before starting her position at SCVS in November 2024.

Petra enjoys all aspects of diagnostic imaging and strongly believes that veterinary patients are best served by a collaborative team approach. In addition to her clinical experience, she has also developed a strong interest in Human Factors, which are non-clinical aspects that are important for high quality patient care.
