Arthur graduated from Federal University of Lavras (Brazil) in 2011. Following graduation, he completed a two-years surgery residency at the same University. He worked as a locum vet in multiple clinics in Brazil, and a few years later moved to Portugal where he got his masters by the University of Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro (UTAD). Currently, he is finishing his PhD, which investigates and reports the role of biomarkers in osteoporosis, at the same University in Portugal.
His ultimate goal as a vet is becoming a Specialist by the European College of Veterinary Surgeons. In order to pursue that, he moved to the UK last year, where he worked in a busy first opinion practice in Gateshead for five months, aiming to enroll in an internship in order to continue to build up a strong curriculum, towards a future specialization.
Arthur is author and co-author of a couple of published articles in different scientific journals.
