Kate Buckler

Kate started working as a veterinary nurse at Heathlands Veterinary Hospital in 2003 before qualifying in 2007. Shortly after, she moved to Hertfordshire to work as a general nurse at the Royal Veterinary College's Queen Mother Hospital. Having rotated around different departments for one year, Kate specialised in emergency and critical care where she worked for a further three years. During her time at the Royal Veterinary College Kate achieved her A1 assessor training, her diploma in clinical veterinary nursing and her diploma in advanced veterinary nursing (small animal).

In 2012, Kate joined SCVS where she now works solely in wards, organising the day-to-day running and providing care for hospitalised patients. Having worked as ward supervisor for a year, Kate has recently become Head Ward Nurse.
