European Resident in Veterinary Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation
Danae Charalambous graduated from the School of Veterinary Medicine of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 2014. She continued her postgraduate studies with a 6 month Internship in Veterinary Clinical Pathology and a two year Master of Science in Small Animal Internal Medicine. During that period of time she discovered the importance and the value of small animal physiotherapy and rehabilitation. She moved to the UK in 2017 to join the SCVS as a Rotating Intern in order to work in a referral centre where she could have contact with a busy and well equipped physiotherapy department. At the end of her Rotating Internship, she continued on as a Physiotherapy Intern at SCVS. In January 2019, Danae became the first ever Resident of the European College of Veterinary Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation.
