Meet Our Cardiology Specialists

Introducing Tobi, Omri, and Vicki, our expert cardiology specialists at SCVS.

Tobi has been with SCVS for 15 years and has played a pivotal role in developing our cardiology service over the past decade. His expertise lies in cardiac and vascular interventions (keyhole procedures), and his skills in this area have helped establish SCVS as one of the leading veterinary interventional centers in the UK. In addition to vascular interventions, Tobi has a particular interest in feline cardiology. He is also passionate about pushing the boundaries of the service, advancing the field, and sharing his knowledge through CPD events and teleconsultations, ensuring that the wider veterinary community benefits from his expertise.

Omri and Vicki both began their journey with SCVS as cardiology interns, progressing through a cardiology residency, earning their Diplomates status, and are now integral members of our cardiology team. Both are also highly skilled in cardiac interventions. Both have a special interest in ECGs and arrhythmias. If you encounter a complex ECG in a cat, Vicki is the go-to-person. However, don’t underestimate Omri’s ability to solve unusual ECG challenges in dogs!

What is a Veterinary Cardiology Specialist?

Cardiology specialists are highly experienced senior cardiologists who have undergone extensive training and examinations to achieve the prestigious European or American College Diploma. To maintain this level of accreditation, cardiology specialists must continually expand their knowledge, contribute to the veterinary community, and meet the ongoing requirements set by the College. With years of experience, they lead image-guided interventions, oversee clinical activities, and mentor residents in case management. As the heart of the cardiology team, they ensure the highest standards of care are consistently upheld.
