Athina graduated from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece, in 2018. Following graduation, she completed a three-month Erasmus+ traineeship at a multidisciplinary veterinary practice in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Spain. Upon returning to Greece, she independently managed the first veterinary practice established on the Greek island of Sifnos.
A year later, Athina moved to the United Kingdom, where she completed a rotating internship at Eastcott Referrals. She then joined Southern Counties Veterinary Specialists as a Neurology and Neurosurgery Intern.
In August 2022, Athina began a three-year ECVN-approved Residency in Neurology and Neurosurgery and was awarded the European Diploma in Veterinary Neurology in 2026.
Her clinical interests include feline neurology and the management of neuropathic pain. She is also working towards obtaining certification in veterinary acupuncture.
