Internship in Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging

Southern Counties Veterinary Specialists is a busy multi-disciplinary referral centre and approved training centre by the European College of Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging. We are committed to providing a high standard of patient care, with state-of-the-art equipment and specialist services in anaesthesia and analgesia, soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery, neurology, cardiology, dermatology, internal medicine, oncology, ophthalmology and radiology.

We are looking for a Diagnostic Imaging Intern to join our existing team, where you will work under the direct supervision of two ECVDI Diplomates, one board-eligible radiologist, two dedicated radiographers and two third year ECVDI residents.

The ideal candidate should have 1 – 2 years’ experience in small animal practice and have completed a rotating small animal internship. The position would be particularly suitable for those wishing to pursue a Diagnostic Imaging Residency in the future. Candidates must be members of the RCVS or eligible for membership, have good English language skills, be highly motivated, work well within a team and have enthusiasm for radiology.

This position provides a salary of £32,000 per annum, 5 weeks of holidays, a 52-week contract and CPD of £1500 and 5 days. As part of this position, you will participate in a rota of night and weekend hospital duties, as well as on call duties with radiology.

The internship will be for a period of 12 months, commencing in January 2025 or as soon as possible thereafter.
