Surgical Residency

We are delighted to invite applications for two, three-year fixed term Surgical Residency positions, to commence in April and June 2024.

Successful applicants will work alongside our team of boarded Surgery Specialists, Residents, and a dedicated nursing team within a large multidisciplinary practice, renowned for surgical excellence.

• Applicants must exhibit a robust and demonstrable passion for surgery.
• Candidates should have successfully completed a one-year internship and possess significant surgical experience.
• A background in general small animal practice would be beneficial.
• Proficiency in both spoken and written
• English is required, with exemplary communication skills being essential.
• Membership in the RCVS is a prerequisite.

The role is full-time, Monday – Friday, from 8.00am to 18.30pm. We expect candidates to be adaptable to fluctuating work hours to manage surgical caseload effectively. This residency involves a 1 in 4 weekend on-call rotation for emergencies. Designated off-clinic time is allocated for study and research. A competitive salary, 5 weeks annual leave plus bank holidays. During the 3-year period, you will be entitled to a total of 24 weeks CPD/Off clinics time. The maximum we will pay for CPD is £2500 per year.
