JOB SUMMARY
Due to expansion, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a registered veterinary nurse to join the neurology team at SCVS. The ideal candidate will be a dedicated and passionate nurse with a keen interest in veterinary neurology. We are looking for a person either who has prior experience working in referral or who wishes to advance their nursing knowledge and skills, within the specialist discipline of neurology.
The role will involve providing the highest standard of care to patients within the neurology department. Daily duties include nursing care of hospitalised patients (either in ICU or day wards), performing anaesthetic monitoring of patients during advanced diagnostic procedures and anaesthesia and surgical preparation for those undergoing surgical interventions. This role will include duties assisting the head neurology nurse, such as the daily running and maintenance of specialist equipment.
