We have an exciting opportunity available for a permanent fulltime position Senior Wards Nurse. You will work alongside our wards team comprising both dedicated and rotating Ward Nurses and Veterinary Care Assistants across two dog wards, a separate cat ward and within the Intensive Care Unit. In addition to providing gold standard, nursing care to our patients the role also involves supporting the Head of Department and deputising in their absence, supervising and organising the nursing team and assisting with the running of the day. Applicants should have a high attention to detail and be willing to contribute to the training, supervision and development of veterinary nurses, interns, student veterinary nurses and veterinary care assistants within the department.
- RCVS Veterinary Nursing Qualification.
- Advanced Nursing Qualifications – Certificates/Diploma/VTS
- Extensive knowledge of all aspects of wards nursing to include experience of nursing intensive care patients.
- Experience of Leading a team
Working three shifts per week - 7am-7:30pm and 1:5 weekends (Saturday and Sunday 7am-7:30pm), with a competitive salary and benefits.
