Cheryl Patrick

I trained as a Royal Veterinary Nurse and worked in veterinary mixed and small animal practices. In 1997, I attended Sheffield Hallam University to study Diagnostic radiography as a mature student graduating in 2000 with a 2:1 honours degree. For 20 years I worked at Poole Hospital NHS Trust, completing a PgDip in Clinical Reporting and gaining promotion to Emergency Department Superintendent in that time.

Following a move to Dorset County Hospital in 2020, an opportunity soon arose at SCVS to gain a position as a veterinary radiographer and was too good an opportunity to miss. This fulfilled a long held ambition to combine my years of radiography experience with my love of animals and previous occupation as a veterinary nurse.
