Meet Milo

Meet Milo, a beautiful one-year-old cat who was shot in the head with an air gun back in August. The injury caused right sided blindness, a communication with the brain and secondary meningitis. Milo recovered well but the pellet remained stuck behind his right eye.

Five months following the initial injury infection associated with the air-gun pellet relapsed so our team decided that was time to remove it.

In an attempt to save Milo right eye, our ophthalmologist James Histed and our surgeon Claudio Motta removed the bullet from a mini-incision on the side of the eye and the help of a small camera and fluoroscopy (a type of real-time x-ray).

Milo recovered well and enjoying being back with his family!
